Baseball Recap: Ankeny Takes a Loss

Ankeny fell victim to Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Tigers. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ankeny's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

When Ankeny and Valley next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Hawks will square off against Johnston and their five-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Valley will try to stop Indianola's six-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.8, the Indians 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
