Baseball Preview: Fort Meade Miners vs. Lake Region Thunder

Fort Meade and Lake Region are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Fort Meade Miners will take on the Lake Region Thunder in a tournament on Tuesday. Fort Meade's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Lake Region's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fort Meade will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Lakeland, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Fort Meade walked away with a 7-3 win over Lakeland on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Miners.

Lucas De Amicis and Owen Harrell were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, De Amicis tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Harrell didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he also posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
