Basketball Recap: West Shore Christian Academy Takes a Loss

West Shore Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dayspring Christian Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors. West Shore Christian Academy's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Leading Dayspring Christian Academy to victory were Gabe Mellinger and Noah Huxta. Mellinger dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds, while Huxta went 9 of 20 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and four blocks. Huxta's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Kauffman, who posted four points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

West Shore Christian Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

West Shore Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-40 victory against Lititz Christian on the 7th. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-46 win against Harrisburg Christian on the 7th.
