Basketball Recap: Lightridge Takes a Loss

Lightridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loudoun County Captains. The Bolts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Captains apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lightridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Loudoun County, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Lightridge will host Potomac Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Loudoun County, they will take on John Champe at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Loudoun County has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matchups.
