Basketball Recap: South Baldwin Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against L.E.A.D. Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Baldwin Christian Academy). They really took it to the L.E.A.D. Academy Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-39 win. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 64-17 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

L.E.A.D. Academy lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andrew Holcomb, who posted 17 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Landon Palmer, who put up eight points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

South Baldwin Christian Academy moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

South Baldwin Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gulf Pointe Latin at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-39 defeat against West Florida Baptist Academy on the 12th.
