Baseball Game Preview: J.P. Stevens Hawks vs. North Plainfield Canucks

The J.P. Stevens Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the North Plainfield Canucks at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. J.P. Stevens is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

J.P. Stevens came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Kennedy Memorial by a score of 3-1 on Monday.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, North Plainfield made sure to put some runs up on the board against Metuchen on Monday. The Canucks came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 10-7. While the Canucks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

J.P. Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for North Plainfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

J.P. Stevens suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to North Plainfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
