Softball Recap: West Bridgewater Triumphs

West Bridgewater took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Fairhaven, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 4-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Regan Bryant, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Emma Maher was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

West Bridgewater's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Fairhaven, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Bridgewater will take on rival Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for the Wildcats: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while the Falcons have snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road. Meanwhile, Fairhaven is set to square off against their familiar foe Somerset Berkley Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
