            South Lyon East dropped their record down to 14-17 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Lakeland Eagles by a score of  13-12. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing  3-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
  Olivia McPherson (2026) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 4-for-5 with four  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Katie Jankowski (2026), who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
As for Lakeland, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.6 runs over those games.
 On Lakeland's side,  Izzy Bedini and  Emily Searle did most of the damage at the plate:  Bedini  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Searle  went 2-for-4 with five  RBI and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  Searle has posted  over her last 15  matchups. Another player making a difference was  Alyssa Goldman, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
While South Lyon East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
