Baseball Recap: St. Bernard Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

St. Bernard entered their tilt with Chadwick on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Dolphins 13-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 back in February.

Aidden Moten was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

St. Bernard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

St. Bernard's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Chadwick, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Bernard will welcome St. Monica at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mariners will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
