Princeton extends road winning streak to five

Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Decatur Central Hawks

The Princeton Tigers waltzed into Saturday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 78-74 W over Decatur Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Princeton was led to victory by Mallory Watt and Azaryon Wesley. Watt scored 22 points, while Wesley scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Lexi Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Princeton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Decatur Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will take on Boonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Decatur Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fishers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fishers presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Decatur Central in Indiana (Fishers is ranked 28th, while Decatur Central is ranked 120th).
