Langley owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Washington-Liberty Generals. The Saxons haven't had any issues with the Generals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Norah Jacques, who gave up just a hit and racked up 19 Ks to keep Washington-Liberty off the board. Jacques has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Elena Calsyn and Megan Connery did most of the damage at the plate: Calsyn went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Connery went 2-for-3 with two runs. Mads Fiorenini was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Langley's record now sits at 10-4. As for Washington-Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Langley will venture away from home to challenge Paul VI at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saxons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 12.3 runs per game this season. As for Washington-Liberty, they will head out to face off against Herndon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
