Schuylkill Valley barely beat Berks Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Blue Jays a 9-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Panthers have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Schuylkill Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Berks Catholic, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Valley will host Brandywine Heights Area at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bullets have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Berks Catholic, they will square off against Tulpehocken at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blue Jays surely won't give up without a fight.
