Baseball Recap: Rio Hondo Comes Up Short

Rio Hondo has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.04 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 12-2 to the Raymondville Bearkats. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bobcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rio Hondo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juan Padilla, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Padilla is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Rio Hondo's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Raymondville, their record is now 16-10.
