Baseball Recap: Caldwell County Comes Up Short

If Caldwell County was riding high fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Crittenden County on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Maroons earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Caldwell County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 21-6. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-11.

As of now, neither Caldwell County nor the Maroons have any future games scheduled.
