Preview: South Plantation Paladins vs. St. Brendan Sabres

The South Plantation Paladins will face off against the St. Brendan Sabres at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Plantation knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully St. Brendan likes a good challenge.

South Plantation stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Nova 72-38 at home. Given South Plantation's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Nova is ranked 569th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Dwight Stephens, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Jaymar Previl, who scored five points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, St. Brendan's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They fell just short of Atlantic by a score of 78-75. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

South Plantation pushed their record up to 19-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.67 points. As for St. Brendan, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
