Basketball Recap: Luke Bowling Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

After only 28 points in their last match, Gramercy Christian made sure to put some points up on the board against Jacksonville Christian Academy on Friday. The Gramercy Christian Warriors secured a 58-53 W over the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-35 back in January.

Gramercy Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Bowling, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. Those five boards gave Bowling a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Easton Munroe, who made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points.

Gramercy Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jacksonville Christian Academy only racked up nine assists.

Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was CJ Mendoza, who went 8 for 13 to rack up 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Rice, who posted 15 points.

Gramercy Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Coming up, Gramercy Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Community Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 74.7 points per game this season. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-44 victory against Greenville Christian Academy on the 8th.
