Soccer Recap: Placer's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Placer had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a goal and slipped past the Del Campo Cougars 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Hillmen: when they faced off against the Cougars last Wednesday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Placer's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-9. As for Del Campo, they moved to 8-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Placer wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Nevada Union on the 29th. As for Del Campo, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Del Campo take on the Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roseville will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Del Campo surely won't give up without a fight.
