Baseball Game Preview: Bolivar Liberators vs. Strafford Indians

The Bolivar Liberators are taking a road trip to challenge the Strafford Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bolivar has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bolivar is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since April 30, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Branson, falling 12-3. The Liberators haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Strafford had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Tigers.

Strafford's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bolivar, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Bolivar couldn't quite get it done against Strafford in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 as they fell 11-8. Can the Liberators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
