Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Central Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Central lost against Lakeland back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Walled Lake Central Vikings were beaten by the Lakeland Eagles 54-27. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 585th, while the Eagles are ranked 121st).

Walled Lake Central's loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Lakeland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walled Lake Central will challenge Walled Lake Northern at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Lakeland, they will venture away from home to square off against Mott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
