After a string of six wins, Gaffney's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 5-1 to the James F. Byrnes Rebels. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Gaffney's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for James F. Byrnes, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Gaffney will challenge Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for James F. Byrnes, they will venture away from home to square off against Belton-Honea Path at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
