Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Indian River's 12th in Last 14 Outings

On FridayChittenango kept up with Indian River until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Indian River Wolves put the hurt on the Chittenango Bears with a sharp 56-31 victory. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allison LaMora, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. What's more, LaMora posted four steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Lillian Walsh was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Indian River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 45 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Indian River has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Chittenango's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Indian River will square off against Christian Brothers Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chittenango does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
