Baseball Game Preview: Green Hope Falcons vs. Apex Friendship Patriots

For the second straight game, Green Hope will face off against Apex Friendship. Green Hope will head out to face off against Apex Friendship at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Green Hope has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Apex Friendship will arrive with three straight victories.

Green Hope fell victim to Apex Friendship and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

For Apex Friendship's part, Green Hope's batters probably weren't too happy with Luke Hemric, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 18 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Hemric also tossed a walk, which is notable because Apex Friendship is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.

At the plate, Drew Ciaccio was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Apex Friendship is undefeated when Ciaccio posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Braden Bloom was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The win got Apex Friendship back to even at 5-5. As for Green Hope, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
