Basketball Game Preview: Apostolic Christian vs. Paideia Academy Knights

Apostolic Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Paideia Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Apostolic Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Paideia Academy likes a good challenge.

Apostolic Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Apostolic Christian Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Apostolic Christian blew Apostolic Christian Academy out of the water with a 79-48 final score. Apostolic Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

Apostolic Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brady Wilson, who went 12 for 22 on his way to 27 points in addition to six boards and four steals, and Rogan Bailey, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Wilson, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Paideia Academy played a tough match back in December of 2024 in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Temple Baptist Academy 85-26. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-16.

Apostolic Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Paideia Academy, they now have a losing record at 0-1.

Everything came up roses for Apostolic Christian against Paideia Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 60-31 win. In that game, Apostolic Christian amassed a halftime lead of 43-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
