Baseball Recap: Guilford Takes a Loss

Guilford lost against Freeport on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings lost 15-4 to the Pretzels. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Guilford saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Versino, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Freeport, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Guilford is set to take on their familiar foe Harlem at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Freeport will face off against rival Belvidere North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
