Softball Recap: Chazy Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. Chazy came up short against Bolton Central, falling 17-2. Chazy was not able to make up for their loss to Bolton Central from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Chazy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gwyn Compeau, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Chazy and nudges their season record down to 2-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-2 Johnsburg Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.3% over those games). As for Bolton Central, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chazy is set to challenge their familiar foe Crown Point at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bolton Central will take on rival Johnsburg Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
