Football Game Preview: Hebron Christian Lions vs. Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans + How To Watch

The Hebron Christian Lions will challenge the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hebron Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Prince Avenue Christian 63-20. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Devon Caldwell, who rushed for 351 yards and six scores while picking up 16.7 yards per carry. Those 351 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jarvis Mathurin was in the mix too, providing Hebron Christian with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hebron Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 455 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hebron Christian's defense and their 5.5 sacks. Marley Woods was especially locked on to Prince Avenue Christian's QB and sacked him twice. Woods has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Max Steve was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making 19 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Greater Atlanta Christian was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Athens Academy 49-14.

Greater Atlanta Christian found their leader in sophomore Michael Miller, who rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 168 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes. Pierce Wilson was another key player, gaining 151 total yards and a touchdown.

Hebron Christian's record now sits at 10-1. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, their record is now 10-2.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Hebron Christian has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 240.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Greater Atlanta Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 188.6 rushing yards.
