Dunedin and East Lake are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Falcons will challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Dunedin and Largo, and Dunedin kept the tradition alive. The Falcons came out on top against the Packers by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Packers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Armando Monday made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Monday was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other pitching news, Cian Roche looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
Monday wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Will Fallon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Aiden Sherifi also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, East Lake had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Barons with a sharp 11-2 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
East Lake also got a great performance from Dane Wright as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Eli Millian was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Dylan Taft was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Dunedin's record now sits at 10-12. As for East Lake, their record is now 16-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dunedin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Dunedin came up short against East Lake when the teams last played back in February, falling 4-0. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
