Softball Recap: Timberland Comes Up Short

Timberland was the 18-3 winner over Goose Creek when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberland Wolves fell 12-7 to the Goose Creek Gators on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly five runs.

Emilee Waters was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Kaylee Waters was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Even though they lost, Timberland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goose Creek only posted a batting average of .241.

Timberland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Goose Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timberland will venture away from home to square off against Andrews at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Goose Creek, they will square off against Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Berkeley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Goose Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
