Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Gar-Field's Winning Streak

Gar-Field lost against Potomac Senior back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gar-Field Red Wolves took a hard 63-44 fall against the Potomac Senior Panthers. The Red Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Potomac Senior was led to victory by Amani Asare and Yusef Navins. Asare posted 19 points and three steals, while Navins dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Asare's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lance Aiden Logan, who had six points and six boards.

Gar-Field's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Potomac Senior, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Gar-Field will head out on the road to take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gar-Field is facing Freedom at the right time seeing as Freedom is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Potomac Senior, they will welcome Charles J. Colgan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Potomac Senior is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season.
