Soccer Game Preview: Armstrong vs. Mars

Armstrong is 1-9 against Mars since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The River Hawks will square off against the Fightin' Planets at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Armstrong didn't have quite enough to beat Hampton and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Armstrong have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Mars made sure to put some goals up on the board against Kiski Area last Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cavaliers a 5-0 shutout. Considering Mars have won three contests by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Armstrong's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Mars, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-2.

Armstrong might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Mars when the teams last played back in September. Can the River Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
