Basketball Recap: Hillsborough Falls Short Against Ranked Gill St. Bernard's

On Saturday, Hillsborough faced Gill St. Bernard in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hillsborough Raiders came up short against the Gill St. Bernard's Knights, falling 68-48. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent loss being a 84-52 defeat last Tuesday.

Hillsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Hillsborough will challenge Long Branch on Thursday. Gill St. Bernard's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
