Basketball Recap: Albemarle Takes a Loss

Albemarle lost against Godwin back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Albemarle Patriots lost to the Godwin Eagles at home by a 49-35 margin. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Eagles are ranked 81st).

Albemarle dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Godwin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Albemarle will take on Louisa County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisa County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. As for Godwin, they will be playing at home against Prince George at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
