Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Hillsboro had won four straight road games and Charlee Mack did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Hillsboro Eagles strolled past the Venus Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 61-45 thanks in part to Mack, who posted 24 points along with six boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Tucker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games.

Hillsboro has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Venus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsboro and Kennedale will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Venus, they will venture away from home to challenge Godley at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
