Preview: Sumter Christian Bears vs. Foothills Christian Flame
The Sumter Christian Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Foothills Christian Flame at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sumter Christian will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
In what's become a running theme this season, Sumter Christian gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 85-62 margin over Carolina Christian Academy. Given Sumter Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Carolina Christian Academy is ranked 577th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aj Danzy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points. Danzy is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 21 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Quayshawn White, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Foothills Christian took their game at home back in January with ease, bagging a 84-49 win over Upstate HomeSchool. The win made it back-to-back wins for Foothills Christian.
Sumter Christian's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0. As for Foothills Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
