It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Choctaw County had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Independence Wildcats as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Choctaw County pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-11.

Coming up, Choctaw County will take on East Webster on Friday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
