Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Trinity Christian proved they can win big last Friday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gila Bend Gila Monsters, sneaking past 11-9. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ethan Feddema was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Feddema wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carson Matock, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another was Henry Patterson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Trinity Christian, bringing their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Gila Bend, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Trinity Christian has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Wickenburg Christian Academy on the 10th. As for Gila Bend, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-6 victory against Heritage Academy on the 10th.
