Volleyball Recap: Crockett Takes a Loss

Crockett was the 3-1 winner over Manor New Tech when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 3-1 to Manor New Tech on Tuesday.

While Crockett had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Julianna Gipson and Lola Osaigbovo, who picked up six kills apiece. Osaigbovo really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Crockett has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Manor New Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

After both having extra time off, Crockett and Eastside Early College will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manor New Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Meyer on the 28th.
