Fayette Ware had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bolton, sneaking past 3-2. Fayette Ware hasn't had any issues with Bolton recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (95-92) Fayette Ware actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 12-25, 25-11, 26-24, 15-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fayette Ware will challenge rival Haywood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bolton is set to square off against their familiar foe Bolivar Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
