Battlefield is a perfect 6-0 against Gainesville since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Battlefield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Battlefield is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Unity Reed two weeks ago. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Battlefield's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Unity Reed are ranked 237th).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Gainesville's offense. They fell just short of Patriot by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Gainesville have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Battlefield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three matchups. As for Gainesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Battlefield took their win against Gainesville in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
