Baseball Game Preview: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Safford Bulldogs

The Rincon/University Rangers are taking a road trip to face off against the Safford Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rincon/University has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Rincon/University after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Tanque Verde, falling 14-4. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mauro Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Monday. Safford lost 18-1 to Douglas. Safford's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Safford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Arbizo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Safford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Rincon/University, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
