Softball Recap: Bethlehem Takes a Loss

Bethlehem fell victim to Ballard and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Bruins, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles/Banshees' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bethlehem saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Hume, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Bethlehem has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-14 record this season. As for Ballard, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethlehem will head out to challenge North Bullitt at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles/Banshees will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Ballard, they will venture away from home to face off against Bullitt East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
