Baseball Recap: Brick Township Takes a Loss

The Brick Township Green Dragons didn't have quite enough to beat the Austintown-Fitch Falcons on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The match marked the Green Dragons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

James Donoghue made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Shawn McLaughlin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Brick Township and nudges their season record down to 6-3-1. As for Austintown-Fitch, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Brick Township will take on Bandys at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Austintown-Fitch, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Mill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
