Basketball Game Preview: Bob Jones Patriots vs. Sparkman Senators

Bob Jones and Sparkman are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Bob Jones Patriots will head out to challenge the Sparkman Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bob Jones is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Bob Jones is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Buckhorn, who was ranked seventh at the time (Bob Jones was ranked eighth). Bob Jones wrapped up 2024 with a 68-52 victory over Buckhorn.

Meanwhile, Sparkman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Saturday as they fell 54-50 to Enterprise. That's two games in a row now that the Senators have lost by exactly four points.

Bob Jones has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Sparkman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Bob Jones beat Sparkman 53-45 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bob Jones since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
