Baseball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Sigourney

Sigourney had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. Everything went their way against the H-L-V Warriors as they made off with an 18-1 win. The Savages might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Sigourney pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for H-L-V, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Sigourney didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Mediapolis on the 1st. H-L-V has also already played their next match (against Montezuma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
