Basketball Recap: Addie Wilhoit Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Elizabethton

Tennessee hadn't done well against Elizabethton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tennessee Vikings came out on top against the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones by a score of 65-54. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 62-37 win the Fighting Cyclones walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Tennessee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addie Wilhoit led the charge by putting up 20 points. That's the most points Wilhoit has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Katy Granger, who posted seven points along with five boards and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Tennessee and bumps their season record up to 8-11. As for Elizabethton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Tennessee will head out to take on David Crockett at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in David Crockett's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Elizabethton, they will square off against Unicoi County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
