Basketball Recap: Roycemore Comes Up Short

Roycemore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 39-22 to the Christian Heritage Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Griffins of the 42-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Carson Acres was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds for Christian Heritage Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Acres has scored at least a third of Christian Heritage Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Kneezel, who posted six points and eight boards.

Roycemore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Roycemore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 89-11 loss against Beacon Academy on the 13th. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-39 win against Waldorf on the 13th.
