Softball Recap: Century Wins Going Away Against Carrier Mills-Stonefort

Century got themselves on the board against Carrier Mills-Stonefort on Friday, but Carrier Mills-Stonefort never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Wildcats. The Centurions have beaten the Wildcats the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Kali Crain made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Crain was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Hayden Anderson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Allison Burd was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Century's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Century will challenge Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pope County at 4:30 p.m. on April 8.
