Volleyball Recap: Olympia Comes Up Short

Olympia saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pekin Dragons. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Brooklyn Komnick paced Olympia's offense, picking up five kills. Komnick got some help from Kinley Steinkamp and her 11 assists.

Olympia's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Pekin, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Coincidentally, Olympia and Pekin will both be playing Moline the next time they take the court. The Dragons will host the Maroons at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
