Lynbrook hadn't done well against Cupertino recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lynbrook Vikings walked away with a 51-40 win over the Cupertino Pioneers. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Pioneers back in January, they had to take a 32-25 loss.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ivan Shen, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Shen a new career-high in field goal percentage (75%). Houma Yoshimochi was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Lynbrook's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Cupertino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Lynbrook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-45 win against MacDonald on the 12th. As for Cupertino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-48 defeat against Monta Vista on the 12th.
