The Monroe Central Seminoles will be taking part in a tournament against the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Meanwhile, Emily Jenkins struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs but no hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. At bat, Householder got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Jenkins went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Kerry Thompson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Moody, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.

Monroe Central's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10.
